LFG

Postby frankjb on Sun Jul 11, 2010 10:33 pm

Hi guy's I haven't played in a while (moved to Canberra about 10 months ago) and was looking for a group to play with.

I'm male, 34. I like playing kender or halfing rogues or rogue/mages (obviously the latter never with a kender, that would be crazy) . I normally play AD&D 2nd Ed but would like to give 3.5 a shot, not sure about 4th Ed. I'd also like playing a 2nd Ed Druid shapeshifter from the druids handbook. I enjoy the social aspect of the game and like to have a good laugh.

I'm bus'ing around town at the moment I live in Bruce.

If anyone's interested I'll check this thread or you can contact me via frank at montyhaul dot com

Thanks.

I forgot to add I wouldn't mind playing Vampire/Werewolf, well as a Vampire hunter or Werewolf, I hate leeches :)

Hi,
I have a 2e ADnD game running at the moment with a slot open so we'd welcome you aboard.

Campaign has me as DM and 3 other players currently and has been running for just over a year. We try to play every second Sunday (next game, 25/7) but obviously sometimes real life butts in.

A basic synpopsis;
The current PC's are a dwarven fighter, a human thief and human druid. The game is set in a relatively low magic world, struggling to emerge from it;s dark ages. The human PC's at present are from a superstitious, celticish culture currently resisting a war of occupation by another, more anglo-saxon type culture.

Play so far has seen the party winning the trust of the local chieftain, exploring the odd dungeon, getting caught up the civil war intrigues and currently trying to solve the mystery of the ruination of the local Henge.

For historical reasons, tribal custom of the local people (PC's tribes included) is heavily against human arcane magic use, such things are best left to elves and fey.

Given that and what you have indicated you like to play, a gnomish spellcaster of some stripe (there are a few houseruled specialist mage types open to gnomes as well as illusionist), would be a good fit into the party right now. Plenty of other options of course.

Get in touch with me here or at blakus_javus@hotmail.com if you are interested.

What would benefit you guy's at the moment? Not sure If I'd want to play a full mage. But it looks like you have a lot of the other roles filled. How about a ranger?

A ranger would be a great fit actually but it is more important that you are excited by playing whatever it is.

PM'd you as it will probably be easier if we just speak on the phone or meet up sometime.
